Product Summary – Jamo C 910 10″ Powered Subwoofer
The Jamo C 910 powered subwoofer has 50 Watts RMS and 200 Watts at peak power. That’s within a typical range for integrated amplifiers for 10″ subwoofers. We think the Class D amplifier module punches a little bit above its weight class though. Output power isn’t everything. This is a 10″ subwoofer that’s not completely compromising quality for a smaller footprint. The Jamo C 910 subwoofer is capable of tight and room-shaking bass when it’s called for. The frequency range is slightly disappointing at 32Hz – 125Hz. It’s kind of unfair criticism as that is in line with many 10″ subwoofers. You can consider buying the Jamo C912 for more power and forceful bass. In our Jamo C912 review, we explain we broke down its design and features. It’s very similar to the C910 outside the power and size difference.
The Jamo C 910 manages to produce clean-sounding bass too. Its front-firing tube port has an exceptional low-frequency extension for its small footprint. The Jamo C 910 has relatively compact dimensions (15.8″ H x 12.5″ W x 16.1″ D) and only weighs 31 pounds. That’s great for those with limited space for their home theater sound system. This subwoofer can pair well with just bookshelf speakers or a multi-channel system. Connectivity options include LFE line-in, Dual RCA, and wireless capability (with the optional WA-2 kit).
What’s Included With Jamo C 910:

Jamo C 910 Subwoofer Highlights
10″ Ported Enclosure + 200 Peak Watts
The Jamo C 910 10″ subwoofer has a ported enclosure. Ported enclosures are typically preferred for home theater, as they more easily produce deep bass. The front-firing tube port on this enclosure excels at thunderous low-frequency performance. While it’s only a 10″ subwoofer, it does have 50 watts (RMS) and a peak of 200 watts. It will provide more thump than many expect with its premium low-frequency performance.
Lightweight Subwoofer + Exceptional Acoustics
10″ subwoofers are is typically lighter than their 12″ counterparts. Unlike the 50-pound JBL Sub 550P we recently reviewed, the Jamo C 910 actually is relatively lightweight. It only weighs 31 pounds and has reasonable dimensions. The Jamo C 910 is ideal for home theater with limited space. You can have much-needed low-frequency energy and room-shaking bass without a huge subwoofer.
Wireless Connectivity + On Board Controls
Powered or active subwoofers typically have a few connectivity options for receiving an audio signal. You will want to connect a subwoofer to a receiver or amplifier for the most optimal performance. The Jamo C 910 lets you use LFE line-in or dual RCA inputs. LFE is typically preferred if you want to control bass management with your AV receiver. You will also find the ability to use a wireless transmission (with the optional WA-2 kit). The WA-2 kit (sold separately) allows for exceptionally low latency and high-res audio during wireless transmission. The Jamo C 910 also has a gain/volume dial, frequency crossover, and a phase switch.
Budget Subwoofer with Elegant Design
The Jamo C 910 is one of the better-looking subwoofers out there. The modern exterior design is very clean. Its luxurious design is available in multiple colors and high-quality finishes. I often love the way speakers look with the woofer cone exposed. Even the woven tweed grilles on this subwoofer look great though. The sound performance on the Jamo C 910 powered subwoofer is even more impressive at this price point. It can usually be had around $150. It provides deep and tight bass performance with a modern design. It does all that with a small footprint and a great price point.
Pros and Cons: Jamo C 910

Why You Need A Subwoofer
Bass and low-frequency effect are integral to the home theater experience. You may not find much sub-bass (20Hz to 60Hz) in music. Cinema on the other hand heavily utilizes sub-bass in its soundtracks. Subwoofers reproduce sub-bass much better than stereo speakers. Floorstanding speakers and bookshelf speakers need a subwoofer for truly optimal low-frequency performance. Even a solid subwoofer will add a notable improvement to any low-frequency sound effect. Subwoofers produce deep and chest-thumping bass you can hear and feel.
Modern music incorporates a lot of bass notes also. Deep and punchy bass is responsible for a lot of dynamic music. Bass even adds depth to voices and instruments in music. These changes can really bring music to life. Stereo speakers will struggle to reproduce all this bass well. The floorstanding speakers vs bookshelf speakers debate often lead to comparing bass reproduction. Truthfully, neither has bass that can come close to a subwoofer.
In Conclusion: Jamo C 910 Powered Subwoofer
The Jamo C 910 is one of the few sub $200 10″ subwoofers I would happily recommend. I wish its frequency range started a little lower, but that’s nitpicking in this price range. This is a power performer that would work well for home theaters and music. It’s probably best for small and medium listening spaces. Its low price point also means it’s a pretty affordable option for dual subwoofers.
