We think the Class D amplifier module punches a little bit above its weight class though. Output power isn’t everything. This is a 10″ subwoofer that’s not completely compromising quality for a smaller footprint. The Jamo C 910 subwoofer is capable of tight and room-shaking bass when it’s called for. The frequency range is slightly disappointing at 32Hz – 125Hz. It’s kind of unfair criticism as that is in line with many 10″ subwoofers. It only weighs 31 pounds and has reasonable dimensions. The Jamo C 910 is ideal for home theater with limited space. You can have much-needed low-frequency energy and room-shaking bass without a huge subwoofer.
Wireless Connectivity + On Board Controls
Powered or active subwoofers typically have a few connectivity options for receiving an audio signal. You will want to connect a subwoofer to a receiver or amplifier for the most optimal performance. The Jamo C 910 lets you use LFE line-in or dual RCA inputs. LFE is typically preferred if you want to control bass management with your AV receiver. You will also find the ability to use a wireless transmission (with the optional WA-2 kit). The WA-2 kit (sold separately) allows for exceptionally low latency and high-res audio during wireless transmission. The Jamo C 910 is one of the better-looking subwoofers out there. The modern exterior design is very clean. Its luxurious design is available in multiple colors and high-quality finishes. I often love the way speakers look with the woofer cone exposed. Even the woven tweed grilles on this subwoofer look great though. The sound performance on the Jamo C 910 powered subwoofer is even more impressive at this price point. It can usually be had around $150. It provides deep and tight bass performance with a modern design. It does all that with a small footprint and a great price point.
